PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: April 2026
Board Talk ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use our Discord bot and associated services.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Board Talk, we may collect the following:
- Discord User ID: Your Discord user identifier, used to track credits, manage your subscription tier, and deliver responses to you within Discord.
- Usage Data: The number of commands you have used per month, your current subscription tier, and credit balance. This data is stored in our database to manage access and billing.
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. Board Talk does not store your full payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled.
- Command Inputs: The text you send as part of a command (e.g., your question to /ask) may be processed by Anthropic's AI API to generate a response. These inputs are not stored permanently by Board Talk.
We do not collect your real name, email address, physical address, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it during a support interaction.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To deliver the Board Talk service — processing your commands and returning AI-generated analysis.
- To manage your credit balance and enforce monthly usage limits by subscription tier.
- To assign and verify your Discord role following a successful Stripe subscription payment.
- To improve the service over time based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Board Talk relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Discord — Platform through which you interact with the bot. Discord's Privacy Policy applies to your account and data on their platform.
- Stripe — Payment processor for subscription billing. Stripe's Privacy Policy applies to all payment transactions.
- Anthropic — AI model provider. Your command inputs are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's Privacy Policy governs their handling of that data.
- Railway — Cloud hosting provider for our bot infrastructure. Railway's Privacy Policy governs server-side data handling.
- The Odds API — Sports data provider. No personally identifiable information is shared with The Odds API.
4. Data Retention
We retain your Discord User ID and usage records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you cancel your subscription and have no remaining activity, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
Board Talk is not directed at individuals under the age of 18 (or the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

- Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable.
To exercise these rights, contact us via Discord or at the contact information listed below.
